General Body Meeting on April 5th
Monday, 29 March 2010 11:12

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) had said: "For those people who assemble in one of Allah's Houses (mosques) reciting the Book of Allah and teaching it to each others, there will descend upon them the tranquillity and mercy will cover them and the angels will flock around them and Allah mentions them in the presence of those near Him."  (Muslim)

On April 5th, Nueces Mosque will be holding a general body meeting. In this meeting, the Executive Committee will go over their duties, what they have done over the past semester and, if they are returning, what their plans are for the following semester. A Q&A session will be held afterwards for comments or concerns that you all may have. Insha Allah this will give everyone an opportunity to see what the masjid has been planning as well as what everyone's generous donations have been funding.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Deeds are shown (to Allaah) on Mondays and Thursdays, and I like my deeds to be shown when I am fasting.” (Tirmidhi)

Also, since the general body meeting is being held on a Monday. We encourage you all to fast since it is the sunnah of Rasullulah (saw). Dinner will then be provided after Maghrib, followed by the general body meeting. So please fast and attend the general body meeting so you we may all find ways to better the masjid insha Allah.
